Abstract

Redo surgical aortic valve replacement should be favored over transcatheter aortic valve replacement, especially in patients who have prosthetic aortic valves that cannot be fractured, in whom implantation of a small transcatheter aortic valve replacement would lead to patient-prosthetic mismatch, adversely affecting the quality of life.
