Abstract
Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor of the bladder is rare. We described contrast-enhanced CT and FDG PET/CT findings in an inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor of myxoid-vascular pattern involving the bladder muscular layer and adventitia with extensive edema of the adjacent mucosa. The tumor showed hyperenhancement on postcontrast CT and high-grade activity with SUV max of 31 on PET/CT. The thickened edematous mucosa showed isoenhancement and isometabolism relative to the normal bladder wall. This case indicates inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor should be included in the differential diagnosis of FDG-avid lesions of the bladder.
