Abstract
An 80-year-old woman, under neurology follow-up for cognitive decline, presented with progressive memory loss, episodes of disconnection and occasional loss of impulse control. Brain CT scan revealed findings consistent with Fahr syndrome. In addition, an 18 F-FDG PET/CT was performed to assess cognitive deterioration. This case illustrates characteristic PET/CT imaging findings of a rare condition.
