Abstract

Postoperative pain control remains a central determinant of discharge readiness, patient satisfaction, and opioid exposure after hip arthroscopy. Even modest improvements in early analgesia can meaningfully influence recovery pathways. The pericapsular nerve group block offers a focused, motor-sparing approach that aligns with modern outpatient care. Although comparative data remain inconsistent, current evidence suggests that pericapsular nerve group blocks represent a clinically relevant and underused tool for optimizing perioperative pain management. In an era of opioid stewardship and ambulatory surgery, failure to implement effective regional techniques may carry increasing clinical and systemic consequences.
