Abstract
Pancreatic uptake can be observed on routine 99m Tc-MIBI and 99m Tc-tetrofosmin myocardial perfusion SPECT/CT. We present representative cases demonstrating visually prominent pancreatic activity relative to hepatic and splenic uptake. Hybrid SPECT/CT enabled confident anatomic localization of pancreatic activity and differentiation from adjacent hepatobiliary and intestinal activity. Recognition of this finding may facilitate interpretation of extracardiac tracer activity during routine myocardial perfusion imaging and reduce uncertainty related to subdiaphragmatic tracer distribution.
