Abstract

This paper investigates the finite-time secure synchronization (FNTSS) of neutral-type stochastic delayed neural networks (NSDNNs) subject to aperiodic intermittent DoS attacks. When DoS attacks are activated, the controller is inoperative. This paper is motivated by the fact that traditional Halanay inequalities are not applicable to NSDNNs under DoS attacks, since the interval of controller failure is not taken into account. To address this problem, a novel finite-time stability lemma is established in the form of a generalized Halanay inequality that incorporates multiple delays and attack intervals, such that it generalizes previous results. Second, a specialized auxiliary system (AS) is constructed to handle the challenges posed by the neutral term. Notably, this AS itself is not a neutral system. Moreover, utilizing an aperiodically intermittent controller (AIC), the finite-time stability criteria are derived for the AS under DoS attacks. Additionally, an equivalence technique (EVT) is introduced, which relies on the estimates of both current and delayed state variables. The application of the EVT ensures that the FNTSS in mean square of the target NSDNNs can be achieved, provided the AS is stable and the maximum delay remains within a specified bound. Finally, corresponding simulation results are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.
