Abstract
Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury is a common sports injury and has a significant effect on knee function. Its injury can seriously affect athletic ability and quality of life and may lead to complications such as secondary osteoarthritis. ACL reconstruction is an important means of treating ACL injury, which is usually accomplished under arthroscopy by using autologous grafts of bone-tendon-bone or hamstring tendon. This article describes a modified single-bundle ACL reconstruction technique based on autologous grafts of the semitendinosus tendon. By adopting the strategy of only a single tendon transplantation fixed by double knotless anchors on tibia and suspension on femur, ligament function reconstruction can be completed and the gracilis tendon can be preserved, better preserving the function of the gracilis muscle.
