Abstract
Living therapeutic depots enable localized, adaptive therapy, but their success depends on persistence, activation, and therapeutic output. Harimoto et al.<sup>1</sup> define mechanical requirements for durable bacterial containment, whereas Luo et al.<sup>2</sup> integrate transient photosynthetic hydrogen production with cardiac therapy. Together, the studies demonstrate that therapeutic needs shape living therapeutic design.
