Abstract
Avulsion fractures of the tibial spine, also known as the tibial eminence, are predominantly described in the pediatric population and uncommon in adults. In the presence of a tibial spine fracture associated with a fracture of the proximal meta-epiphyseal tibia, management of the spine fragment remains controversial. The objective of this technical note is to describe the Frosch technique termed the "Robin Hood technique", which consists of fixation of the tibial spine fracture with screws inserted in a retrograde fashion in cases of combined fractures of the tibial spine (due to avulsion of the anterior cruciate ligament) and fractures of the proximal meta-epiphyseal area of the tibia.
