Abstract
To evaluate the effects of a 12-week worksite health promotion program on cardiometabolic risk factors among healthcare workers. A non-randomized controlled trial was conducted in Taoyuan, Taiwan (2019-2021), comparing an intervention group receiving active appointment surveillance and physical training referrals with a control group receiving conventional health education, with measurements taken at baseline and 12 weeks. Among 94 eligible participants, the intervention group showed significant reductions in waist circumference, body mass index, blood pressure, fasting plasma glucose, gamma-glutamyl transferase, and lipid profiles compared with the control group. The 12-week worksite health promotion program effectively improved cardiometabolic risk factors and may enhance healthcare worker wellness.
