Abstract
Anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction using fascia lata autograft is a validated technique but remains limited by graft diameter or by the need to harvest a hamstring tendon. This report describes a novel hybrid approach, the "McFL-LARS" hybrid technique, combining fascia lata autograft with a ligament advanced reinforcement system (Movmedix) synthetic ligament to enhance graft robustness and simplify harvest. A narrow strip of fascia lata is reinforced with a 6-mm ligament advanced reinforcement system (Movmedix) ligament to produce an 8-mm composite graft, allowing easier closure of the donor site while maintaining a strong, biologically active construct. The technique provides a simple and reproducible option for revision anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, particularly in patients with limited autograft availability.
