Abstract
We examined the histopathologic features of two hydroxyapatite orbital implants that were removed from two patients. Two surgically removed hydroxyapatite orbital implants were decalcified and processed for routine light microscopic examination. Both implants demonstrated fibrovascular ingrowth and foci of bone formation. Bone may form in hydroxyapatite orbital implants.
