Oriental double eyelid: a simplified nonincisional technique using the twin-needle suturer.

Abstract

An alternative nonincisional method for creating Oriental double eyelid using the twin-needle suturer was presented. The benefits of the new technique include (1) no eversion of the eyelid is necessary, (2) guided by the needle tip indicator, the possibility of crease distortion due to incorrect placement of the sutures is reduced, and (3) a decreased learning curve for creating cosmetically pleasing supratarsal crease is expected. With the aid of this suturer, it is much easier to learn and master the Oriental double eyelid procedure, especially for inexperienced operators, such as those with only occasional request for such procedures.
