Laparoscopic colpo-suspension.

Abstract

The feasibility of using minimally invasive laparoscopic techniques adhering to the surgical principles of management of anatomical stress incontinence was evaluated in 10 women. Postoperative performances and early surgical results were compared with those of contemporaneous groups of women undergoing open colpo-suspension or vaginal needle suspension. Laparoscopic colpo-suspension proved to be technically feasible with less postoperative pain and shorter hospitalization. All 3 groups of patients had similar relief from stress incontinence in the early postoperative followup.
