Abstract
A 2-year-old girl sustained full-thickness burns to the anterior chest. Skin grafting was performed after spontaneous eschar separation in 1 breast and after delayed tangential excision after wound demarcation in the other breast. Both breasts developed equally, indicating that careful tangential excision to viable tissue after wound demarcation in this vital area could be performed safely.
