Abstract
We evaluated plantar responses after 75 epileptic seizures and 21 psychogenic seizures in 53 patients undergoing video-EEG monitoring. Extensor plantar responses (EPRs) were found after 27% of epileptic seizures in 42% of patients with epilepsy. EPRs were not found after psychogenic seizures but were seen after 52% of tonic-clonic seizures. Unilateral EPRs were usually contralateral to the side of seizure onset.
