Abstract
The Herbert/Whipple bone screw system can be used to obtain accurate placement of a cancellous screw for providing rigid internal fixation of small bone fragments. This is accomplished by utilization of a guide pin. Preliminary results by the authors are encouraging with the fixation of the Austin osteotomy.
