Abstract
Seven patients who underwent abdominal hysterectomy with or without adnexectomy after prior total proctocolectomy with ileostomy are reported. Extensive retroperitoneal and presacral exposure was required to accomplish surgery, and intraoperative morbidity was significant in four of seven patients. Surgical considerations are discussed.
