Abstract
Triggering of the fingers and thumb and de Quervain's disease are very common causes of hand pain. This article reviews the pathophysiology of these conditions and their presenting symptoms and treatment. The modes of conservative and surgical treatment are discussed with emphasis on the potential complications and pitfalls of each method.
