Abstract
This article discusses the roles of the treating physician and attorney regarding work-related disorders. The authors have emphasized the need for commitment to returning the injured worker back to gainful employment as soon as medically safe. The need for communication between physician and attorney is discussed. The authors have also called for greater "cross teaching" between professions to increase awareness of the issues surrounding care and representation of the injured worker.
