Abstract
This study was conducted to determine whether an immediate change occurs in the blood flow distribution in hepatic segments after segmental portal vein embolization. We found an immediate change in the distribution of blood flow in the liver after embolization; with portal vein embolization, we found an immediate increase in the hepatic artery blood flow in the affected segments.
